SAHWR team present at domestic abuse conference

Our Children Support Workers attended the annual Domestic Abuse conference hosted by Hertsmere Borough Council, Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council and St Albans District Council. The theme was ‘growing up with abuse by my side’ and the team focused on highlighting the impact of domestic abuse on boys, who are also impacted by the pressures of a patriarchal society.

Natasha Hayter, commented on the event, ‘We were honoured to be invited to present at the Domestic Abuse Conference in WGC on supporting boys within refuge. It was a valuable opportunity to share our work, and to highlight the importance of meeting the needs of boys affected by domestic abuse. We appreciated the chance to connect with other professionals, exchange ideas, and help bring greater awareness to this often-overlooked area of support’
